Blue Angels & Worn out shoe

June 22, 2015
Happy father’s day dad. I love you so much. so this week I decided to make some brownies and after they were all gone I decided that they were easy to make so I made another batch. I think when I get transferred to a new area and have money I will start to cook more. Cook all day p-day and have leftovers all week. I really miss the big get togethers that we do with everyone. They are so much fun.

Miles will be 12 by the time I get home. That is so crazy he will be a deacon. So this week I was on a trade off and I left the area to go to West Pensacola. Their apartment is really close to the navy air base where the blue angels are stationed out of. So that morning I got an awesome picture.
This week we were family history tracting and we ran into this lady that was from England. We talked a little about family history and I told her my ancestors were from England and I asked her if Savage was a common name over there and she said it was. But it was super cool.
also one of my pairs of shoes is worn out already.

May 5- June15

I was sent this video and thought I would share.

Hello my name is Hayden! And Savy asked me to send you this video, it was a whip
cream eating contest we had at institute!

Elder Singley hits his year mark on Thursday. He has been in Pensacola for about eight months he started his mission in Crestview, which we actually when to today because he was finishing up his dental work but it is all done now. I found out that it will be a combined zone conference so it will be the Pensacola and the Mobile zone. We had one of there our last zone conference when we got the tiwis.  It was fun.

May 18, 2015

So I’m doing good. The conference was a lot about medical stuff and emergencies. Because it has been ten years since there was a hurricane here and there is a trend of them coming every ten years. So we were moving a navy seal sniper and he gave me a sea bag. I was planning on using it to make an emergency bag. We are also working with a less active that is really cool, the only reason he doesn’t go to church is because he has seizures and last time we were with him he had two within ten minutes. Also  some random members from California took us out to eat to a nice place called five sisters. In Pensacola we get more food from random members, nonmembers and less actives than the ward.

I cant believe Brant is Graduated. That is so crazy, Brant is growing up. I feel old I graduated a year ago.

I make ties that I think would look cool regardless of the mission rules and I’ll just have them with me till I go home. But I am not planning on wearing the star wars tie. It was raining on the way here. Elder Singley were planning on going to the beach today but we found out through a member that Memorial Day there is a huge gay and lesbian thing at the beach so we decided not to go. And then it is stormy today.

June 1, 2015

So it has been raining a lot lately. Like right now there is a pretty intense thunder storm going on. So there is not a lot of work to be done here so a lot of the time we are just walking around. Most days we will be walking for 3 to 4 hours straight. We get so sweaty.

Man I wish that I could go on the hike with them, the subway is my favorite hike.

June 8, 2015

That cake looks good. So we are having transfers on Wednesday and Elder Singley is being transferred. So today I am thinking about making a brown bag apple pie and we will have it at district meeting because half our district is leaving. They are taking one person from each companionship. And another crazy thing is that one of the sister missionary’s here finishes her own training this week and we found out that she will be training a greenie this transfer.

I have also gotten away from cereal for breakfast and I am now having orange Julius.

we found an open storm drain so we had some fun

June 15, 2015

So the brown bag apple pie turned out great, it was super good. So on the way to transfers we were on the highway and there was a semi a little in front of us and in the other lane. One if its tires exploded and the car that was right behind the semi swerved in front of us and almost hit us. It was super cool. So my new companion is Elder Christensen from bountiful Utah and he goes home next transfer so I will have a new comp in six weeks.

While we’re talking to someone a fox came up and the person we were talking to gave it a hotdog. It was a wild fox though. Your anniversary sounded like a lot of fun. It sucks not being able to go to the temple. Thank you for the family history stuff. I’m just working on the family tree and needed that information.

Love you so much

Elder savage

Just to let you know I have had a career change I want to be a pilot in the air force. And was going to ask Grandpa Funk what the physical requirements were so I could work on them during exercises.

Staying in Pensicola

May 4
The day of service was out of our area and we didn’t have the miles or a ride to go so we were not there. So we don’t know exactly when we will call, but we think that it will be around 3 or 4 your time. I have been wearing my fast Sunday tie.  Elder Singley and I have come to the knowledge of how to make ties. So I have made two they are OK. We will also be making some new ones this week for us and the other two elders in our district for zone conference that will be next Tuesday. Also president was joking when he told all of us that we were having a mission dodge ball tournament.

April 27
I’m pretty good. So we went to Crestview today for my companion and we were there for two and a half hours. The weather channel was on and I learned that there was a big storm in New Orleans and that it is heading our way.  Transfers are coming up on Wednesday. We are both staying in Pensacola for at least another six weeks.  it turns out that in a little while our mission is going to have a dodge ball tournament so that will be really fun.

April 20
So this week has been a slow week we had a lot of appointments fall through so we have been walking around a lot. But that Spartan race sounds super fun, but I would have to get in shape when I get home first. I’ve been trying to do 50 push-ups in the morning and I get really sore but hopefully I will get to steadily increase.

April 13, 2015

I’m doing good. It is so crazy that Alex is home. I wish I could see him, he is awesome. When does Braxton come home. It seemed like he left way before me. So has Brant started any of his mission papers? It is crazy to think that Brant in graduating soon and also that I graduated almost a year ago. But it has been good here. The institute class is held in our building so we get to go to it and it is so awesome and fun. Encourage Brant and Tanner to go it is a lot of fun.

March 16- April 6

March 16, 2015
The work has really taken off this week. we got 5 new investigators, 4 other lessons, 5 rcla (Recent convert less active) lessons, and 27 oyms (Open your mouth). But most of the time we don’t do anything on p-day besides email and shop. The reason that I am emailing so late is because my comp called our mission nurse and got a dentist appointment today so we drove to Crestview and apparently he has to get a root canal. So we will be going back next Tuesday.

March 23, 2015
It has definitely been warming up here over the last few weeks it has been in the mid-80s and it has been sprinkling throughout the day so the humidity is up there too. Most of the time we don’t do musical stuff. The only time we do stuff like that is for mission conferences and we have one or two musical numbers. There are so many people that can play the piano really well I wish that I could play super amazing stuff.

March 30, 2015
So this week has been good. We were in a lesson with a less active and for some reason she gave us a full rack of ribs and some BBQ sauce. So we are cooking that in the crock pot today. So last p-day we went to the naval aviation museum on the navy base in the next ward over. And today we are planning on going to the beach and getting some shells. But we have been told that we have getting iPad for the last two years and we still don’t have a date were we will fore sure have them. But something exciting is one of the members in pace got his mission call and he is going to the ST George Utah mission. So if you see an elder Nordstrom. Say hi for me.
You asked if I had grown on my mission.  On the mission you change quickly and you don’t notice how much until you are looking back.

April 6, 2015
Conference was super cool. One of my favorite talks was the guy with the silver dollar that talked about fathers. we had a tight scheduled on Saturday and had no time for lunch so we got some food from chick-fill-a and ate it in the library during the second session on Saturday. After the priesthood session we were going to get some ice cream and a member from gulf breeze came with us and paid for us. we started to talk and it turns out that he got hired to do air force one the same time as brad and he knew brad, not really well but he still knew him.
